The project aims to promote climate change education in non-formal/formal education sector through school and community outreach activities and development of learning materials. The project is currently led by youth climate advocates, artists, researchers, educators and community leaders from more than 13 countries. The project functions autonomously from the organization.
Mag-aba Mangrove Reforestation ProjectDuration: November 2017 - October 2018
The community project aimed to capacitate a local community in conserving their local mangrove forest and lobby its local policy protection. The project was implemented with support from the Eco-Peace Leadership Center (EPLC) of the Kangwon National University (South Korea), Yuhan-Kimberly and the UN Environment Program (UNEP). The project was accomplished in Pandan, Antique Province, Philippines.
Climate Education NexusDuration: January - December 2020
The Climate Education Nexus is a collaborative project implemented by the ATO – ClimatEducate Project, the Climate Reality Project Australia, and the Pacific, and Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. The project was aimed to implement a new integrated phase of the ATO - ClimatEducate Project through exploring and innovating in the nexus of climate change and education.
Tabang Para sa KinaiyahanDuration: January 2021 - August 2022
The ATO - ClimatEducate Project, in collaboration with the Maramag Catholic Youth Apostolate in Bukidnon Province, Philippines, successfully accomplished a microgrant project from the UNEP Children and Youth Major Group (UNEP-CMGY). The project titled “Tabang Para sa Kinaiyahan” is an English translation from the Bisayà phrase, “Aid for the environment.” The project was implemented from January 2022 - August 2022.
