ATO Participates in Wetland Assessment and Rehabilitation Project in the Philippines

The ATO participated in the initial consultation and planning meeting for the proposed "Mag-aba Marine Protection Area Comprehensive Assessment & Rehabilitation Project" led and funded by the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)  on 9 August 2019 in Pandan, Antique, Philippines. 

Since 2018 after the conclusion of the ATO - Mag-aba Mangrove Reforestation Project (ATO - MMRP), the organization continued to lobby and communicate with local government agencies to further provide action and support in conserving the Mag-aba Wetland Area, having lack of attention from the local authorities.

The organization attended the initial meeting as a CSO (Civil Society Organization) participant and will support future initiatives to be done by the Local Government of Pandan, Antique and the DENR in the next months.
